About Sam Wilson

Sam Wilson won Novel Idea‘s first mobile fiction competition for his story “Prestige Animals”, making him “South Africa’s first award-winning mobilist” in 2008. In 2011 the Mail and Guardian declared him one of South Africa’s Top 200 Young People for his complete inability to just sit down and do one thing.

He was an integral part of the legendary scriptwriting team at Clockwork Zoo, and is currently working as a freelance scriptwriter. His first novel “Commedia” is a wild romp set during the collapse of the Roman Empire. It earned him an MA with distinction from the University of Cape Town.
